Description

Borghese Gallery

What happens to a first time visitor of the Borghese Gallery is to have an unexpectedly exciting experience.

The thing is - we know that! - that ancient art is usually taken for granted. Most of the times we enter and walk thru a museum staring at white statues and old paintings without real involvement… Often we are kept away by artifacts which look somehow mute, because they were produced by a society way too distant in time. And eventually we leave, dramatically ignoring all the incredible things that were happening in front of our eyes.

The Borghese Gallery is nothing like that. Here you’ll be truly assailed by the power of creativity.

This is because the Gallery is a small display of only a few pieces, each one of huge energy, created by the best artists of Renaissance and Baroque, who were considered the most influent in Europe for three hundred years: Bernini, Caravaggio, Raffaello, Botticelli, Canova, Rubens and Tiziano.

The visit lasts only 2 hours, cause that is time each shift can have : two intense hours though, when we’ll be rolling from a masterpiece to another, at a fun and amusing pace.

People leave the Gallery excited and energized, with the irresistible desire of rushing home to do some art!

Me and my Daughter (teenager) went to the Borghese with Francesco, recommended by friends from LA who had used him The tour was the best we ever had: the art in the gallery can be difficult to take in but Francesco is so good he knows how to make it simple and emotional ! A real good experience, thanks
