Description

Borghese Gallery

For first-time visitors, the Borghese Gallery offers an unexpectedly thrilling experience.

Ancient art is often taken for granted. Many people walk through museums staring at marble statues and old paintings without much involvement, feeling distant from works created by societies far removed from our own. Too often, they leave without realizing the extraordinary wonders that were right before their eyes.

The Borghese Gallery is completely different. Here, you are immediately struck by the power of creativity.

Unlike vast museums, the Gallery holds a carefully curated collection of masterpieces, each one bursting with energy, by some of the most influential artists of the Renaissance and Baroque, who shaped European art for over three centuries: Bernini, Caravaggio, Raphael, Botticelli, Canova, Rubens, and Tiziano.

The visit lasts just 2 hours, the time allocated for each shift, but they are two intense, unforgettable hours, moving from one masterpiece to the next at an engaging, lively pace.

Visitors leave the Gallery inspired and energized, often with the irresistible desire to go home and create art themselves!
