The Jewish community of Rome is known to be the oldest in Europe and one of the oldest continuous Jewish settlements in the world, dating back to the First century BC.
After the renovation of the neighborhood from last century many things have changed, but with the help of an experienced tour guide it’s still possible to recreate the ancient aspect of this old part of Rome spread on the two shores of the Tiber river and on its very little Island, so to find its old Synagogue, its tiny, little lanes and its unconventional market places.
